A Trip To Remember Forever

We had a very fun, crazy end to 2012...

Celebrated Christmas with Liskas, Domagalskis and Hansons,

YAY! They are engaged!
CELEBRATED AN ENGAGEMENT! So excited for Joel and Janet!

Thanks for the fun  Christmas craft Janet!

Had a little extra visit with cousin Laura and baby Ella,

Packed up the van, head to Milwaukee to celebrate Christmas with the Koss' and Hendersons,

Got oil changed

Packed up the van for a week and half long trip...over 3,000 miles...to ultimately end up in Dallas, TX.

Powered through 24 hours of straight driving time- Lots of movies, playing with new Christmas gifts, snoozing and giggling in the car

Woke up to a puking Dylan in the van at 5:30 am. Seemed like a weird, isolated incident.

Lysol wipes and a little air freshener later, back on the road to head to Cotulla, TX where  Jane and John have a big ranch.

Spent a few fun days in their "castle" as Dylan called it. Such a gorgeous place!

Threw rocks in "the tank," looked for turtle shells, deer, and javelina.
Hunted with the "Geo"

                           Turtle shells
An ugly Javelina- they are part of the rat family
and are hunted and stuffed for display. Ick.

Hunting with the Geo

Went for four wheeler rides, shot the bow and arrow, slurped on some hot chocolate, and didn't see the sun that we were hoping for.

Dylan had to say a very sad good bye to his new best friend, Jane and John's lab Sydney.

Saying good bye is always hard
Dylan and Sydney

Back on the road for a 7 hour trip to Dallas, TX to surprise Sue and Larry for their 50th wedding anniversary!

Chris tried to abide by the 75 mph and some 85 mile per hour speed limits. Crazy! There were some long stretches of highway where I would have sworn we were the only people in the world.

No posting from DeeDee on Facebook so I didn't give away the surprise- super hard!

The KRAJEWSKI Texas Experience collage!

Arrived in Dallas.
Pick up the rest of the Domo's at the airport.
Surprised Krajewski's.
Watched Larry & Sue get surprised by many family and friends!
Followed the itinerary- lots of time at Lori & Ernie's, who basically provided all food & cooking that we needed for the entire weekend,
Enjoyed Sammy's pizza straight from Duluth- (delicious!),
Anniversary party/ watching the pitiful Packer vs. Viking game,
Fireside chat with Steve,
Tooled around Dallas using the DART,
Took LOTS of pictures,
Ate a fabulous Swedish pancake breakfast at Steve and Amy's before getting in the van for the long ride home.

Ride home was not as exciting.

Kids were wonderful road trippers.

Need another oil change.

I see a lot more road trips in the future with our little travelers!
Many fun times to remember forever!
Thanks to everyone that helped make our trip the BEST!
